Mission 10 Update

November & December 2025

Message from Pastor Kristian

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 is a commonly referred to passage about the Body of Christ. It points to how God has uniquely and carefully created each of us with a plan and a purpose. But, sometimes we might find ourselves wondering, what gifts or talents do I have? What is my purpose? How can God use me?

I want to encourage you – God can and will use you and, looking at verse 22, He can help redefine your perspective. It says, “In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.” He has uniquely created you with gifts and talents to honor and glorify Him. Your gifts and talents, combined with your personality and your experiences, create the perfect you.

Don’t underestimate His desire for you to be part of His Master Plan!

You do not have to have every gift and talent to be a part of a missions trip. In fact, you don’t really need to have any gifts or talents. As a disciple (follower) of Jesus, He tells us in John 13:35 that, “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

We have various missions opportunities in 2026 and perhaps one of these will be the perfect fit with your God-given gifts and talents. Here is a snapshot of the types of trips and opportunities planned.

  • Construction
  • Encouragement
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Evangelism & Outreach
  • Kids Ministry
  • Leadership Training
  • Medical
  • Music, Worship, Drama, Dance & Art
  • Prayer
  • Sports
  • Vocational Training

If none of these feels like the perfect fit, remember, if you can smile, you can love! God is asking for your love and obedience, and He will take care of the rest. Be encouraged to say “yes!”

Looking Forward to 2026

Can you imagine 1 billion of anything?

Now, can you imagine 1 billion people? What if those 1 billion people represented people who have NEVER heard the name of Jesus? At a recent missions conference, a great need was highlighted. A need to reach the NEVER REACHED.

For many years, we have talked about the unreached, which refers to people groups who have little or no access to the Gospel. But, in Asia Pacific (the continent of Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands), 95 percent of people (nearly 1 billion people) have NEVER BEEN REACHED. They have never sung “This Little Light of Mine,” they haven’t heard the Gospel message, and they have never heard the name of Jesus. Instead, they likely practice Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam or Animism.

Their belief in enlightenment or idol worship is providing false teaching, which directly impacts their eternity. For this reason, CLA has felt the call to pursue new opportunities with missionary partners in this region of the world to proclaim the Gospel message and bring light to darkness.

We hope you will join us in prayer and consider stepping out of your comfort zone to GO as we focus on reaching the NEVER REACHED in 2026!
