Mission 10 Update

March & April 2026

Message from Pastor Kristian

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gives us a clear instruction to “go into all the nations” to make new disciples. All the nations include the far away places, but it also includes your backyard.

Easter is a great time to invite family, friends and neighbors to church. We pray you will stop by one of our Welcome Centers to pick up some Easter door hangers, which have details about our in-person, online and TV service details. Who can you invite?

Additional ways to serve with missions include: Through intercessory prayer for missionaries and missions teams, on our social media team, at our annual Commissioned event, assisting at the missions booth in the Lobby at CLA Camp Hill, with missions trip t-shirt organization, as a CDL driver who can drive missions teams to and from the airport, or as part of the Media team that helps document missions trips.

To learn more about these opportunities, email missions@cla.church.

Local Missions

Just a Taste

Sometimes your schedule might not allow for you to go on a one-week missions trip, but it will allow for you to experience a taste of missions through a one-day trip. We are excited to offer various local one-day options that will help you reach others for Jesus!

Mission 10 Serve Days
CLA Mission 10 Serve Days (formerly Mission 10 Work Days) occur on the fourth Saturday of each month from March-October and include a variety of opportunities where we serve with a missions partner. These offer great opportunities to use your gifts and talents!

  • March 28 – Bongiorno Conference Center, Carlisle | Cleanup, landscaping and minor renovation projects
  • April 25 – Wildheart Ministries, Harrisburg | Community trash cleanup and gardening
  • May 23 – Philly Dream Center, Philadelphia | Cleanup, minor renovation and evangelism/community outreach

Jubilee Day
Every year, we are thrilled to sponsor this community event that is held in downtown Mechanicsburg, PA. We love having the opportunity to connect with people through our Petting Zoo and kids’ activities booth that features face painting, balloon animals and more. This year's event will be held on Thursday, June 18.

If the Lord is calling you to join one or more of these teams, visit CLA.CHURCH/events to register.

Domestic Missions

Glacier Bible Camp
Hungry Horse, MT

CLA has developed a new domestic ministry partnership with Glacier Bible Camp. Each year, this campground hosts multiple youth camps that minister to students in the Pacific Northwest, including one camp that is for Native American students. We will have two teams this year:

  • Renovation/Construction (May 29-June 6) – The anticipated scope of work includes painting, plumbing and other basic facility repairs that will prepare the camp for the upcoming summer ministry season.
  • Security (July) – Team members will be assisting to keep the grounds safe during one of the largest camps of the year.

Keep Dreaming!
Hope For McDowell – Jolo, WV (Deadline June 1)

Pastor Charlie Rose never stops dreaming of the ways that he can help those in his community. Through much prayer, God continues to guide his steps and provide new ideas. This year, our team will be in McDowell County from August 8-15.

  • Renovation/Construction – A variety of skill levels are needed to assist in the projects for this trip.
  • Food Team – Help prep, cook and serve meals for the team throughout the week.

Global Missions

Experiencing the Change | Montego Bay, Jamaica

Participating in a missions trip is so impactful! Check out these stories from those who chose to GO this past January. God is so good!

“Before going on this trip, I was filled with anxiety and anger over certain things in my life. While I was there, I experienced a God moment allowing me to give my testimony regarding the birth of my only daughter, who has Down syndrome. By the time I left Jamaica, I was filled with the love of God and peace in my heart.” – Marcia
__________
“I am learning that God can use an introvert like me if I let Him. I am not a person who feels comfortable witnessing to those in a foreign country. However, I felt God using me to talk with a young woman who had lost everything in the hurricane. I couldn't believe how easy the Lord made it for me to show compassion without being fearful. If you want a change in your life and want to be used of God, don't hesitate to go on a missions trip!” – Barb
__________
“I answered the call to go so that God would bring change. I now view my life and other people's lives through the lens of God. Jamaica will always leave a more spiritual and unconditional love in my heart, for the sweet friends made, and for a Country, God is Redeeming and Restoring.” – Jennifer
__________
“I went there hoping to bless the people of Jamaica, but instead they blessed me. To have nothing and still be willing to give everything you have to strangers has made me see that ‘things are things’ but God will provide endlessly if you put him at the center of your life.” – Lisa
__________
“I saw how much the people greatly appreciated and felt our love for them as we served them by delivering meals, visiting and encouraging the elderly in retirement centers, visiting the schools and showing love to all the children we came in contact with. As was the case last year when I went on the Jamaica trip, I did not expect how much I would personally grow and be impacted and how my heart would be changed for the beautiful people of Jamaica.” – Deborah

Against All Odds | King’s Castle – El Salvador

There is one thing you can count on with missions, and that is you never know what each day will hold. As the El Salvador team traveled, they had no idea that only a few days later several of their team members would become ill with the flu. Thankfully, there was plenty of medical care and, after a day of rest, many of those affected were well enough to serve for the remainder of the trip.

The great news is that, despite this challenge, God was glorified. The construction team completed the removal and installation of a roof on one of the campus buildings. The medical team cared for, examined and treated hundreds of people. And the evangelism team participated in 20 programs at schools. Spiritual warfare is real, BUT our God is victorious! That week:

  • 2,140 people were reached
  • 1,037 prayers were prayed for significant problems
  • 903 prayers were prayed for healing
  • 764 people said yes to Jesus!

If you would like to see God in action, put your trust in Him and GO!
