Vision Summit

You’re invited to our Vision Summit on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We will have a time of worship, talk about the goodness of the Lord, celebrate what He’s done and cast vision for what we believe He will do in the future. Please note:

  • All CLA attendees are encouraged to attend; however, only CLA voting members will be able to vote.
  • No adult groups will be held that evening.
  • Youth and kids’ activities will take place as usual at 7:00 PM. Our kids will enjoy a great night with special guest Unique Kidz Ministry.

Earlier that evening, visit our Connect Fair at 6:00 PM in the Lobby to learn more about serving opportunities and groups...the two best ways to get connected at CLA! Immediately following the Vision Summit (around 8:15 PM), join us for a free sweet treat and time of connection!

Deacon Election

On Sunday, September 7, our Deacon Election will take place in the Lobby before and after both morning services. All voting members of CLA are encouraged to vote. The individuals who are up for election this year are Michael Bongiorno and Chip Rice. Read more about both of them here.

Michael Bongiorno

Michael and his wife, Carole, will soon be celebrating 50 years of marriage. They reside in Mechanicsburg and have two daughters and two grandsons. Michael has served at Heritage Investment Services Fund, Inc. (HIS Fund) since May 1997 and currently functions in the role of Chairman, President & CEO. He is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and has attended CLA with Carole since 1992; his favorite Bible verse is Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes – the Jew first and also the Gentile.”

Chip Rice

Chip and his wife, Shari, have been married 28 years and have two sons in college. They reside in Enola and have been members of CLA for about 21 years. A former school counselor, Chip spent many years as a stay-at-home dad and now works in the publishing industry. Chip served as Deacon Board Secretary for two consecutive terms ending in 2023. He also served with members of the Deacon Board in 2014 as part of the lead pastor search committee.

Chip has served in several CLA ministries over the years, most notably leadership roles within men’s ministry. He also contributes to writing and editing projects within the CLA family. If elected to another term as deacon, Chip will be grateful for the opportunity to support CLA pastors and leaders in their steadfast commitment to reaching the world for Jesus.
